Secret Superpower: Finding humor in most situations
Nick Pearce is a Higher Education and Student Affairs Ph.D. Student at Indiana University. His research explores the intersections of Religious Studies and Higher Education, with a concentration on Muscular Christianity and collegiate athletics. Throughout his graduate career Nick has focused his research on illuminating both historical and present based issues of inequity within United States Higher Education. He has also centered his practitioner work towards helping other students make sense of their own scholarly and professional pursuits, in order to continue make the academy a more equitable environment. As a Graduate Assistant at the Midwest and Plains Equity Center, Nick is excited to be able to channel his efforts as a scholarly practitioner toward a larger collection of administrators, teachers, and students within diverse academic environments. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and attending concerts with his wife Erika, practicing yoga, and brunching with his dog Lou.
